Dare by James Crow

I just wanted to be told what to do.
That had always been me. There’s nothing wrong with being yourself, is there?
But it wasn’t easy, finding a real man. A bad man.
One who didn’t care about right or wrong.
One who would tell me what to do.
Until Drew.
He told me what to do.
He dared me.
He dared me all the way.

DARE DARE by James Crow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Title: Dare
Author: James Crow

There are times when you read a book that all you can think or wonder is 'what in the world were they thinking?!'

Those were my thoughts as i read James Crow's latest release. Then again, if this book generated as many WTF moments, it has to be pure genius, right? Don't get me wrong, his author note is more than real - it's full of triggers and taboo to such a degree that even i took notice and had to reread certain parts just to make sure i read it right. Believe me when i say that i like my dark and twisted stories and Dare absolutely pushed my boundaries.

Truth or dare is probably one of my favorite games and yet Dani thrives off on them, finding ways to dare herself to do things she knows are socially... well, unacceptable. She has some pretty dark thoughts, some of which i have to applaud her for not doing them because, well, her mother (and Dani has more restraint than i do when it comes to her). Is Dare your type of book? I'm not sure, but i know that if you're an open person, you really should take the time to read and experience this book.
