Indebted To A King by Lisa Lang Blakeney
There's something about Cutter King that reminds me of every bad
relationship I've been in and every bad decision I've ever made…
He’s desperately good looking, but he knows it.
He's built sturdy and strong like a tank, but he's reckless.
He looks like every woman's fantasy, yet for me he’s a nightmare.
Too bad I owe him big time.
And now he’s moved in next door to collect.
AUTHOR’S PROMISE: This is a full length, standalone novel, featuring a strong alpha with no cheating (and as always) a happily ever after. Be advised that due to strong language and yummy sex, this book is not intended for the easily offended or readers under 18.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The
first time that i read a book by Lisa Lang Blakeney, i had the joy of
reading a stepbrother trope, only this time, it was cousins. No blood
link and all in the marriage, but still... the taboo aspect was there
and so very intense. I couldn't get enough. Since then, i've tried to
keep up with this author, to find out what she was going to come up with
when it came to her next releases and when she decided to bring out the
King brothers - wow. I may not have read the first instalment to the
series, but i did buy it, not really having the chance to get my grubby
little fingers on it mostly because there were other books that were
calling out to me (the life of a reviewer and blogger... i swear... we
pick out battles).
BUT!!
When Lisa Lang Blakeney wrote the second book to the King brother's
story, i was all over it like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich - you
just know you gotta have it! So getting Sloan and Cutter's story... Holy
crap! It was a thrill ride to read from start to finish and all those
twists and turns that this author added to her story just made it that
much more captivating and surprising. Just when you think you have it
all figured out, bam, something else happens and throws you into a loop
and then into another.
If
there's one thing i can say (because i don't want to say too much
without giving the punches and twists away), it's that i'm really
looking forward to what and how Lisa Lang Blakeney is going to be
bringing her next book to life because, it's a shocker to say the least
and i look forward to being in the front seat with popcorn in my hands
watching everything unfold.
