One Too Many by Jade West
From USA Today Bestselling Author, Jade West
A filthy proposition.
Too much money to say no.
One dirty night in a stranger's bed.
While my husband watches.
A full length contemporary romance novel.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
alright,
before anyone starts railing or running after me with pitchforks
because of this review - know that Jade West is among one of my favorite
authors. Every time i pick up one of her books, i dive right in and
give the big ole finger to sleep because her books are just that
captivating. She just delves into the darkest parts of any individual
and then makes you question your own sanity.
One
Too Many, i won't lie, was interesting, but not my favorite from this
author. There was a lot of emphasis on the fact that one night has the
potential to destroy a relationship. Which on hindsight, it does. And
that is the conundrum of the story - how much is one night worth? And
how much is one night going to change your life? I get that Grace and
Brett are strapped for cash and it's the only reason why they would have
ever debated Thomas' deal.
So,
here's where i had some troubles. I'm not a patient person, i'll say
that freely, and having to wait so gosh long to find out what it is that
Thomas has against Brett and why in the world he hates him so much,
starting him into the path of wanting to find out how long it'll take
him to destroy marriages, was just, well, a bit frustrating. Even if the
outcome was satisfying, it just made me question all the possibilities
all the time and took away from the story line when i know i should have
paid attention.
While
i do love the books that Jade West writes, there's something about One
Too Many that tells me that i'll have to give it a second go another
time so that i can truly appreciate the story line and all of the
different nuances that she gave her characters.
