Renner's Rule by K Webster
I’m a bad girl.
I was sent away.
New house. New rules. New school.
Change was supposed to be…good.
Until I met him.
No one warned me Principal Renner would be so hot.
I’d expected some old, graying man in a brown suit.
Not this.
Not well over six feet of lean muscle and piercing green eyes.
Not a rugged-faced, ax-wielding lumberjack of a man.
He’s grouchy and rude and likes to boss me around.
I find myself getting in trouble just so he’ll punish me.
Especially with his favorite metal ruler.
Being bad never felt so good.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This
was a very short and adorable story - there’s no other way of
describing this story. While it’s nowhere near as dark or taboo as
previous books by K Webster, it still had her signature style of writing
that just captures your attention and makes you forget that you’re
really reading a fiction book rather than watching a movie.
Renner’s
Rule just had this air about it that made it so easy to read, so easy
to like the characters and makes you really forget that life exists
outside of the size of your kindle. I enjoyed it. Not THE biggest ‘eeek’
novel I’ve read so far, but it’s still up there on my ‘You should read
this book’ scale because it’s just so darn adorable! I just wanted to
squish these characters’ faces and make them like each other - right...
they do. You know what I mean! Adam and Elma have this thing about them
that makes them realistic and likeable... too bad I had old bitties who
liked to make you stand in a corner in front of the school when you
misbehaved rather than Adam, because I’m pretty sure i would have found
all sorts of reasons to see him while he worked!
So
yeah, another great treat by this author, the perfect in between two
books and for sure, something that anyone should look into just because
it’s worth it!
