Broken By A King by Lisa Lang Blakeney
First he lied to me.
Then he seduced me.
Now he’s broken me.
I knew him as a boy, but now the boy is back—a hardened criminal.
Big as hell. Blindingly beautiful. Sexy as sin.
Dripping with attitude. Covered in ink.
And carrying a colossal chip on his shoulder.
I want to keep my distance.
Needing to protect myself and my virginity.
He’s awakening parts of me that I never knew were dormant.
Ruining me for any other man.
I should have known that nothing this good would be healthy for me.
He’s a liar. A thief. A convict. A deviant.
I need to walk away from this man who’s breaking me piece by piece.
Only my heart is not cooperating.
Then he seduced me.
Now he’s broken me.
I knew him as a boy, but now the boy is back—a hardened criminal.
Big as hell. Blindingly beautiful. Sexy as sin.
Dripping with attitude. Covered in ink.
And carrying a colossal chip on his shoulder.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I
almost feel bad that i hadn't remembered Stone's name in the previous
instalments of the series. I swear, i was scratching my head during the
entire book and wondered just what the link of Stone and Ariana's story
had with the King brothers. But have to hand it to Lisa Lang Blakeney -
she absolutely knows how to draw you in her book so that no matter what
your qualms are, you really will want to keep reading.
It
did take me until the end until i remembered the link between the King
brothers and Stone. I have to say that it was really well done because i
got to understand this man and why he did the things that he did. Why
he acts the way that he does and especially, got me to really like him.
He's really quite interesting when you get down to it. Smarter than he
lets on and more territorial than you'd think he'd be when it comes to
Ariana.
As
for Ariana - well, that girl can really hold her own. She may seem like
a wilting flower because of the way she acts, but dayum - she can
really tell the scary convict exactly where to stick it when he gets on
her nerves.
I
liked this book. It was engaging, it was interesting and it made me
want to go back and start this series from the start so that i could get
the whole King effect from start to finish. I can't wait to find out
what this author will do in the future with her next release!!
