Title: Until I Fall
Author: Claudia Burgoa
It was beautiful. Heart wrenching. Blood boiling. And so very, very inspiring. Claudia's latest release left me breathless. I don't think there's any other way to truly describe Until I Fall. I connected with Aspen, the ER doctor who is barely trying to survive the intense loss of her partner by working more and more hours, dating the guys that she knows won't be stealing her heart or asking for more than what she is willing to give. Then i connected with Anderson, the retired military man with a job in security and as a tattoo artist who takes care of his dying mother. These two characters meet on a fluke, on an evening that Anderson stepped out of his mother's home and met her neighbor, Aspen, their attraction for one another almost instant. Their relationship is not without their faults, fraught with pain and the uncertainty of the future and what it can hold.
I was a wreck emotionally and as much as i was torn apart, i kept reading. And i couldn't stop either. It was almost cathartic, healing, to watch these two go through their pain and grief and help each other make it through. To take the emotions that threaten to take you down and still manage to pull each other up finally face the feelings that they've tried to hide for as long as they could. From all the books i've read from Claudia Burgoa, Until I Fall has to be my favorite so far, pulling me in so many directions that i can only thank her for creating such a powerful story that should be read by so many.
